Hi, It looks as if www.ttoprpg.com is unavailable at the moment and the updater isn't connecting to a server. Is there an alternative way to get the latest version of the program?
That looks excellent, thank you! I've not had a chance to use it in the last few weeks but it looks as if it's a bit improvement. Wonderful!
It is difficult to decide what controls are essential! Being able to remove the entire right-hand column would be a good start - if it's easy to toggle it could be turned on again when needed. There's a lot of space to the left of the grid/occlusion/etc controls. I wonder whether you could re-locate those controls entirely on a menu ('View' perhaps) and maybe put the text colour option below the chat entry-box, reducing the size of the chat buffer (or player list/macro window) and perhaps making the horizontal slider shorter to fit the zoom control in on the same level, which would allow you to extend the space of the map down. Just random thoughts - I'm no programmer, so don't know what's possible and what's far more difficult! (an excellent solution which might be technically very difficult would be to allow the map to float free in a separate window - which could then be maximised over the control window, or placed on an extended-desktop second monitor and maximised etc).
Firstly, and most importantly, thank you for a wonderful program! I've wrestled with OpenRPG quite a bit, and been daunted by the complexities of MapTool - and my Pathfinder Society online group has resorted to the Skype add-on WhiteBoardMeeting which has proved rather flaky. This is the first VTT that I've been able to convince (at the moment one of!) them that it's worth persevering with - mainly because there's not much persevering needed. It works very well, does the basics in a really quite intuitive manner, and I'm enjoying using it. The only thing I'm currently wishing it could do is find some way to make the 'map' part larger. I'm not planning on using the dice-roller or the chat window, nor macros, at the moment, and it would be very useful if the map could fill the whole screen, rather than be limited to the area to the left of the chat/macros column and sandwiched between the menu bar at the top and the controls at the bottom. A 'full-screen' option, or even just the ability to hide the menu bar and bottom controls (except perhaps the resize) would be very useful. I don't know whether that's something you've thought of addressing, but it'd be my number one feature request!
