What I've been trying to do is figure out how to get the grids right on certain maps in particular the Against the Giants maps. The one I started working with was the Hill Giant stronghold 1st floor Hill Giant maps. I was gonna move on to the second floor and after that move on to the other strongholds Frost Giants and Fire Giants. I think the best thing would be for me to learn to do it myself, I have Adobe Photoshop 7 yet am unclear how to make sure that the pixel rate is the suggested rate of 25 pixels per 5 feet. I plan to start working on some of my Pathfinder maps once i get a good feel for the program. Any help you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated. |

One of the easier ways to see if a map is 25 pixels per square is to load the graphic into Windows Paint, select the Mask tool, and box out one of the grid squares. Hopefully in the version you have, there is some sort of info to tell you its dimension. Once you know the square's size, you can Resize/Skew the graphic down by a percentage to make it closer to 25 pixels. It doesn't have to be perfect, just in the ballpark (TTop supports up to 50 pixels per square). As for lining up the grid, if the grid squares are more than 50 pixels, it won't work and you'll definitely have to resize the graphic. Assuming they are within the right size, though, use the Adjust Grid (points) option. Place the left point on a grid intersection at the upper left of the map, select the number of squares you want between the two points, and drag the right square to the lower right until the grid matches. Also, if the map graphic squares aren't perfectly square, you won't be able to line them up anyway. Hope this helps. EDIT: Yep, I downloaded a few of those maps, and sure enough, they are around 54 or so pixels per square. If you can skew them down by 25-50% using Paint (or Photoshop), they will be in a usable range for TTop. |

That was a lot faster than I was expecting for a response I'll give it a go in the morning and see if I can get it working. The program really is awesome you did a great job, I'm just a bit slow when it comes to learning new things. |
